Fun Family Day

On Saturday morning, David and I ventured down to Brentwood with the kids for the Chick-fil-A/Kyle Petty Charity Ride. All money donated goes towards a camp in NC called Victory Junction. It is a year-round camping environment for children ages six to 16 with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. Founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty in honor of their son Adam, Victory Junction’s mission is to provide life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment. Anyways, the riders were stopping at the Brentwood Chick-fil-A for breakfast so all of the owner/operators in the Nashville market had to go and serve them. It was so much fun! Lots of TV crews were there along with newspaper reporters. While there, we met Michael W. Smith, Hershal Walker (who is the nicest guy!), and Kyle Petty. Of course we also got to play with the Chick-fil-A cows for a while too. Chloe wasn't too keen on the 7 foot tall cows though. She told them "Git cow git" (she was really scared of them) and after they left our table, she said "whew...that was close!" I think though that if I were only 2 years old and a massive cow came towards me that I would be a little nervous too.
So after they charity event was over, we came back home and all of us took naps at the same time which NEVER happens! It was awesome. We slept for about 3 hours and then got up and went over to our friends' house for dinner. It was lots of fun. Four couples, 11 kids with 2 more on the way, and lots of food...great night!!!

Here are a few pics of our day yesterday...
