One Phrase from Chloe

One phrase we hear from Chloe mulitple times per day is "no, he has only 1 tooth." Now originally I taught her this phrase to keep her from feeding him any solid foods when I wasn't looking. However, now that is her excuse for everything related to Brody and her not wanting to share with him. For example:

Me: Chloe, can Brody go down the slide
Chloe: No, has only 1 tooth

Me: Chloe, can Brody play with the ball?
Chloe: no, has only 1 tooth

Me: Can Brody take a bath in your tub?
Chloe: No, has only 1 tooth

And you get the point. So, here is a little video and picture that I wanted to share with you. Towards the middle she starts the one tooth thing. Also, you may hear her referring to him as "Grody" instead of Brody. Enjoy my sweet angels on this wonderful Saturday morning.

Some New Pics

I just wanted to share some of the newest Brody pics. We had a picture session the other night and I got some really cute pics of him. Check out the bright blue eyes!!! They keep getting brighter and brighter. Oh, and notice the hair...it's coming in quite nicely.

Well this was towards the end of the session and he was quite irritated. He's yelling at me.

All wrapped up after bath time in his duck towel

Check out the long blonde eyelashes

Fun Outside

I am so glad that the weather is starting to warm up! We are taking advantage of all warm days and getting the kids outside as much as possible. Nothing better than riding bikes and scooters, blowing bubbles, and watching Brody explore his world outdoors.

Yes, this is me on Chloe's bike. And no, I would NOT have gotten on it had she not insisted upon it. She wanted me on the bike so that she could push me since I had been pushing her on it. Years down the road from now we will look back at this and probably ask "Why in the world was mommy riding the bike and making Chloe push?!?"

Chloe with her new Dora trike

I have hardly any pics of me and Brody together so we had a picture session.

Chloe and her Scooter

So after seeing Chloe ride a scooter at school and hearing her talk about scooters for the past few weeks, I decided to go out and buy her one. It is adorable. It's a Radio Flyer that is pink with flowers on it. She also, by mistake, got a Dora Big Wheel Tricycle. I had asked David to pick up a Dora scooter for her at Walmart but instead he accidentally came home with the Trike. She was excited about it, but still wanted a "scooter-bike" so that's what she got. She should definitly be set for the summer now. Here are some pics of her...helmet, elbow pads and all!

And here are some new pictures of little Brody...

Pictures of the Kids

Wow! Brody had his 6 month check up today so my mom and I went to the pediatrician with him to get him checked out. He is now 17 1/4 pounds (30%) and 27.5 inches (75%). He's growing like a weed!!! He put on 2.2 pounds in just 2 months. It's the solids for sure. He loves to eat his fruit, cereal and veggies. Soon he will be getting Gerber puffs and I cannot wait to see him gum those down. Anyways, unfortunately, his right ear is STILL infected however the left one has joined in so he has a double ear infection. I could not believe this because A) he just finished 10 days of Amoxil and B) he is the happiest baby ever....no crankiness, no fever, no nothing except smiles and giggles. I guess that's great however I would like to know when he is sick before his ear drum bursts. So, he's on Omnicef now for another 10 days to see if we can get him better. He's starting the Chloe ear trend already. We'll just pray that the Omnicef takes care of it.
Chloe is doing well. She is on medicine still for her ear infection and will on occassion still say her ear hurts, but I'm not sure if it really does or if she is just saying that. The doctor told me to just watch her another day or so and bring her back if she is still complaining. She's happy, playful, and as energetic as always though so we'll see how things go.
That's it for now. Here are a few pics of the kids as promised earlier.

Look at this big boy. This was at his 6 month appt. today.

Close-up of those beautiful baby blues!!!! I LOVE his eyes. They are just like David's.

Yip, that's right...he's eating his shoe and he loves it! He eats anything that is in his hands, or on a spoon, or in my hands, etc...

This is Chloe pretending to be Dora (notice the backpack and map on her back). She is also posing like she is doing a self breast exam! Isn't that hysterical?!? She has become the poster child for early detection...and NO, I have NOT taught her that. It's just a toddler quirk right now.

This is Chloe at the beginning of her haircut/trim today. I decided to go on and get mine cut short for when it starts to fall out so it won't be sooooo long and decided to let her get a trim too. She was none to happy about it at first.

Seriously, she was having a major fit about the spray bottle.

Laura gave Chloe a sucker to eat during the haircut and that did the trick. She is so focused on her sucker right now so Laura was able to get Chloe's hair pinned up and get the trim underway.

Here is is finishing up with Chloe by spraying glitter in her hair...she called it "Princess Spray." So cute!

And...the finished product. Chloe even sat still enough to get a braid and boy was she proud of it! Adorable. She didn't want David to take the braid out when he was washing her hair tonight.

The other day Chloe was "sharing" Brody's toy with him (how nice huh?) but when she handed it to him, she covered all of the keys so he couldn't spin it and make noise. Real sweet Chloe. She even takes his vibrating teething ring and puts it in her mouth when she sees it sitting out for him. I'm going to have my hands very very very full once he becomes mobile and starts getting into his and her toys by himself. Pray for me!

Living in Grandparent Land...

And thank the good Lord for that! My mom is currently here and has been since February 4th. Before that, David's mom was here for about 2 weeks. So, that being said, you can see why this house is considered Grandparent Land now. We are so thankful that both of our moms have been able to come, stay, and make themselves at home as they tend to the kidlets for me during the day. I am not able to pick them up at all, and won't be able to for another 3 weeks. After my mom leaves in a little less than 2 weeks, David's mom will come back for a little while until I get the greenlight to be able to pick them up and care for them the way I am used to. It's been really hard to not just jump up and pick them up if they are crying, or just go grab something for them as I am so independant, but there is no way physically for me to do that right now. So, here's to a huge THANK YOU to the grandparents for all of your help, patience, and love that you have for us and our little ones.

On to some cute/fun/new things now about the kids.
BRODY: has 1 tooth in plain sight and working on another one I think
he can sit unsupported now
he LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (and I thought we were over that now)
he LOVES his solid foods -
green beans,squash,sweet potatoes,carrots,cereal,bananas, pears & peas
he is very ticklish
he STILL loves his jumperoo
he sits in his tub now and will splash and play with the rubber ducks
he loves to blow bubbles and spit
has started saying "ahh-geeee" a lot which is what Chloe used to say a lot too
is better from his ear infection (I guess). He never acted sick!
has his 6 month check-up Wednesday so we'll see how big he has gotten.

CHLOE: cut her 2 year molars and I had no clue
is better from the pneumonia but has ear infection now
tells us that Uncle Jordan drives ehh-i-cot-er (helicopter...he's in the ARMY)
says Op-Op drives air-panes
says she LOOOOOOOVES...everything. You name and she LOOOOOOOVES it!
says our big pepper grinder is "cute."
loves to watch Dora and now pretends to be Dora sometimes
still loves to watch TV in "mama's bed."
still calls Brody "Grody"
likes having her toenails and fingernails painted
likes to jump like a frog and when doing so, she says "Rip" (ribbit)
can say Thank you Jesus...but it sounds like Thank you Juice
is obsessed with riding in "Daddy's car"
sings all day long. many times she will sing if she has nothing to talk about

Things here are never quiet as she is non-stop talking. On a different note though, just wanted to let everyone know that my little brother made it back home last week from a 15 month deployment in Iraq. I know that many of you were praying for him throughout that time and I just wanted to let you know that he is safely back in Hawaii now with his wife. YAY!!! Thank you for your prayers as they were all answered.
Pictures of the kids are coming...my battery is dead on the camera for now though so I'll charge it and post pics tomorrow.
